Lost Clean India After Diwali???

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi exhorted people to fulfil Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of clean India on 2nd October 2014 – Gandhi Jayanti. Launching the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan at Rajpath in New Delhi PM gave us knowledge about our social responsibility by reminding the Clean India dream of Mahatma Gandhi.

Keeping aside the political impact on the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan or Clean India, if we look at the casual view from the side of normal people, the success of this mission could give us a better atmosphere, better society and healthy environment for ourselves and our children. Many big names and fames joined this moment on the day and were seen in news thereafter also following the great epitome of it. But where are we?

Talking about government has always been an easy deal for each one of us, but this time government or better mention the prime minister himself has given a task to you and that too in the benefit of yourselves and your society. So what are we doing about the particular task? Are we cleaning our homes? Are we cleaning our neighborhoods? Are we inspiring the people to keep our city clean? No!!!

We simply did some cleaning of our houses on the occasion of Diwali and now we are too tired to even think of cleaning the roads, which we messed up ourselves by the dust of fire crackers. Diwali time, we had lots of fun; we fired lots of crackers on the name of festival, polluted the atmosphere and enjoyed doing it. But now we are done with the festival, some rest and then we need to get back to work for our responsibility as student, professional, employee, employer or housewife. But then what about our duty as citizen? Ever thought about being a good citizen of the nation that we denote as Mother India???

Many of us, when we travel to different countries and see the beautiful clean atmosphere around ourselves, we feel so glad. It gives us the blossom in our heart, the sadness, negative thoughts and all those blue feelings vanishes with the beauty in environment! But do you know that in those particularly clean countries, if you throw the waste here and there, you will be fined hard. And next if you see the atmosphere already very clean, you would not even dare to throw the dust anywhere, that’s the human psychology. But then why can’t we create the same atmosphere and same environment around us and carry that beautiful blossom within our heart for good?

Health is wealth and the first step towards the health is healthier and clean surroundings. Open your heart, open your mind and go out of your house. At least clean the mess that you and your family has created in your own street, go for the first step and rest you all are intelligent enough, once you start it, I am sure there will be no look back.

Let’s stand up, hold those brooms and give our this Sunday to #CleanIndia moment, which then will bring better India for us and our future generations.

It's My Voice & Voice of many other Gals..

You think you know me, but you don’t. You believe you feel my pain, but you can’t. You witness my tears and say you will try to understand, but you won’t…. No, you won’t.

I am a person very unfamiliar to you. My past treated me with insufferable evil and much unkindness. I felt abandoned and ashamed, as it left me with countless questions even I cannot answer. Grown-ups always appeared to hate me. For some unknown reason, I was a target for those who wanted revenge or wished to use me. Just as nobody who meant nothing to anyone. No voice. No choice. No hope.

I spent much time in my room as a child. It seemed there I was protected, and no one could harm me. I wrote poems, I sketched, I dreamed. Dreams were a way of escape from a world of pain and weeping. But it appeared dreams would never come true for this little girl. I never found my place in this cold and indifferent world. A child that was afraid of speaking the truth to anyone for fear of being ridiculed and faulted. To them, would my accusations only be something considered imaginary? I wondered if the world would always propose this type of injustice. Thus, I remained silent.

Years upon years kept serving the same unappealing meal to my table. My plate remained empty, for my soul could no longer tolerate the scraps life offered me. Why did I not deserve better? Though diligent in my efforts, a solution remained undiscovered. I only continued to travel the same path of disappointment and misery, because it was all known to me. And I was too terrified to make any unfamiliar turns. The wall of protection I created became too high for anyone to climb.

Some friends, some close one did entered the walls and tried to know me tried to talk to me, at the first few moment it was all a good feeling, then later I came to know that all those who made efforts to climb that wall and reach me were there to scatter me more, hurt me more and use me more. They came, they played and then they left.. They left me more broken, more hurt more crying. Finally a day came when tears dried out, no hurt was hurting me so much, no I wasn’t ever a stone hearted person but this world made me become as such. I, now did not had a heart that bleed, cry or loved, now I hold a heart that is motionless, without feelings and without any love left there in.

I am betrayed, cheated and crushed so many times that now it’s hard for me to believe that any goodness is yet left in the world. For me it is a world full of grudges, full of cheaters, liars and those people who are waiting to destroy someone who is soft hearted and innocent.

This is my story and story of many more girls with the innocent hearts, who then turned out to be stone hearted or a bitch. But before pointing fingers to them, try knowing their turn, trying knowing their misery and try knowing a gal that is dead within.

Rajneeti Ki Ganga

Why I call it ‘Rajneeti Ki Ganga’? Let me clarify that prior to proceeding over the article. It is said that Ganga cleans your sins and it same with the ‘Rajneeti Ki Ganga’, however sinful a person may be but once he comes in power, wins the election he gets clean cheat. Not exactly, but he starts getting counted in one of the white collared big heads of the town. He gets right to be present between the best business men of town or school / college inauguration and award functions. He starts getting invited as a chief guest on the prestigious occasions being held in the town and nearby area.

After this clarification let me concentrate on the figures of previous election and the leaders ruling us. The mentioned figures are taken from the ADR (Association For Democratic Reforms) website.

About 30% (162 of 543) MPs in Lok Sabha have pending criminal cases against them.

About 14% (76 of 543) MPs in Lok Sabha have serious pending criminal cases.

About 58% (315 of 543) MPs in Lok Sabha are crorepatis.

Only 11% (59 of 543) MPs in Lok Sabha are women.

Isn’t this figure kind of heartbreaking? And the fact is that it is increasing with every election. Comparing the figures from 2004 to 2009 it has increased and coming time will only tell what 2014 elections are going to bring for us. What are we doing? Why are we doing it? We have a right to vote and we are responsible for whom we select, so indeed it’s our mistake, the mistake of a common man to be selecting this kind of leaders. We need to wake up and decrease this figures in 2014, we have to use our vote wisely and select our leaders very very wisely. I surely understand that there is no clean cheated party, but party really needs to know that they must have clean cheat candidate in order to win. So, don’t think big, start with a small thinking, you don’t have to think which party is going to rule the country, you are just responsible to vote for a candidate from your area, who has a clean background and who is wise enough to be a leader. If every one of us will think in that way, I am sure the most deserving party will be the leader soon. We don’t want Modi, We don’t want Rahul, We neither could tolerate the drama of Kejriwal, we must wish only for the best deserving candidate. The person who brings out the best leaders in each and every part of the country, could only be our leader. Because looking closely on any picture, one political leader can’t make a true difference to the condition of country when he doesn’t have a good support.

Now let’s have a look at figures of election 2014, for the announced candidates of all the INC & BJP:

So today itself, open up your eyes, your brains and vote for the best deserving candidate, not thinking just about you but thinking about our country, people around and a lot more then.

New Indian Political Drama

New Indian Political Drama..

This days news channels are creating more entertainment and vibes then any movie from the bollywood. Lots of masala, lots of drama, nautanki and show off.. phewwww!

Advice for the film producers: quit the release for 2014, we have real life national drama going on.

What do the drama creators of political parties think of themselves? Young India, Religious India, Common Man.. all these terms are enough to fool Intelligent India?

Get a life leaders, we don't need to hear good terms, we need to see you actually working on good terms.

A few words, in rhyme, keeping in mind political leaders and scenario of the country:

Mein aazad bharat ka neta hu
Mujhe vote de do

Mein langda ban ke nachunga
Mujhe vote de do

Mein bhukha reh ke ladunga
Mujhe vote de do

Mein ta-umer kunwara rahunga
Mujhe vote de do

Mein aazad bharat ka neta hu
Mujhe vote de do

Mein vikas ke path pe chalunga
Mujhe vote de do

Mein mehngaai ko mitaunga
Mujhe vote de do

Mein ekta ka nara gaate jaunga
Mujhe vote de do

Mein aazad bharat ka neta hu
Mujhe vote de do

It seems like every political party is creating a new fuss these days, lots of new promises, lot of fake plans and lots and lots of commitments. But none seems actually working up to the marks. New India has lots of expectations from the political leaders and past 5 years has just made us look down. No Congress, No BJP, then who the hell would be creating progress and betterment of the country? AAP? A Big joke on the expectations and hope of common men.

Let’s face it, there could not be a better politics now, the only thing that could be done is implementing good rules to the constitution of India. Particularly, the rules affecting the right and duties of not the common man, but those ruling us.

Indian Society Is Regressive For Women

Recently there was a great controversy around a statement of Indian Actress Malika Sherawat, who mentioned that Indian society is regressive for women; The actress was addressing a press conference when a female journalist questioned her why the star would search for her true love in her home country India, when she had publically earlier declared the county ‘regressive and depressing’. To this Malika Sherawat launched her on-spot impassioned response by urging the reporter to ‘Do Your Homework’. The journalist, according to Sherawat had taken the quote out of context.

She was referring to Variety interview from May, during which actress discussed her role in ‘Dirty Politics’ and how splitting her time between U.S. and India has helped shape her world view.

“I made a conscious decision to divide my time between Los Angeles, America and India,” the actress told Variety. “So now when I’ve experienced that social freedom, when I go back to India, which is so regressive for women, it’s depressing.

As an independent women, it’s really depressing.” Sherawat impressed that she was specifically talking about the state of affairs forwomen when she called India regressive.

She then drove home her point by mentioning the rampant cases of female feticide, infanticide, gang rapes, honour killings and the fact that 40 percent of Indian women are married below the age of 18.

And when the reporter suggested that Sherawat should watch what she says because she's painting India in a poor light, the journalist fought back, saying that by focusing on state of women, Sherawat was giving India a bad name abroad.

To which Sherawat responded, “As a woman, I should lie about the state of women that’s in our country?” further she added “So I didn’t lie. I said the truth.”

She made her point quite louder on what she meant and according to me she was very true, we need not be hypothetical and hide the situation that our country is facing. Instead we should try to solve the situation, the current scenario of nation and then proudly say out the truth when it actually changes. The current law and the current system is not giving all necessary punishment that could actually fear the people who plan to rape a woman, it still has many loop holes and lack a lot of strict attitude. There are few cases, which came to limelight and the criminals were punished, due to the fear of people and those who stood against them. But not every case gains the limelight and so not every criminal gets the proper punishment that they deserve. When a woman dies of rape or any such assault, it’s not only a woman that dies, with her dies the confidence of many more woman, with her dies the hope and faith of her parents, her near and dear ones. With that particular woman, many of her close ones get into the darkness and gets on to the depression. Out of those women being raped, some are also mother of small children, had anyone given a thought that after the incident what those little ones would suffer for a lifetime? No, we don’t think much, sometimes just some years of prison and sometimes not even that, is that enough to improve the state of woman?

Few of the states in India are still suffering from the dowry system that forces parents to kill the female foeticides, as they cannot afford to pay a good amount of dowry to marry their child and this future concerns stops them from giving birth to a female child. Some women are killed for dowry after marriage, some are tortured for dowry and some silently kills them to come out of this torture. Not only rape and dowry, there are many more things as such which is torturing the freedom of a woman. Indian women’s plight does not have a limit. This few issues are just to be named, domestic violence is also a part of it, poor education in the villages for female child, self esteem, and demonization, etc are many things that women of India are suffering from.

Indian society needs to have a broader view on the women empowerment and self esteem. If you yourself are willing to solve this, start from your home, start from your circle, encourage every woman in your knowledge to fight for themselves, to protect themselves and to speak for themselves. If a woman is suffering from domestic violence, support her and encourage her to take step against it and come out of it, don’t discourage her by saying to think her about her child’s future, or what society would say after her taking a step. Make her think positive, make her understand that rather then suffering for lifetime, it is better to fight for the time and make the life better. If a lady is being tortured for dowry, don’t tell her parents to pay it, it would only encourage the crime, instead ask to punish those greedy monsters for their act and if they cannot change their mind, they better face the prison instead of a innocent woman killing herself and leaving those greedy monster with a chance to harrash one more woman like her.

I salute Malika Sherawat for speaking on the topic and really would love to see other celebrity and big names coming forth to speak on the topic and let the society understand true facts.

AAP - Future of India???

Aam Aadmi Party – Means Common Man Party and abbreviated as AAP. A new political party emerges in India and Shocks everyone with a strong election results in Delhi. Political grounds are shaking all over the world and it seems India is the latest nation to experience such tremors. Frustrated with the inept governance of ruling Congress Party, and unwilling to embrace what is seen as corporate backed Hindus-nationalist opposition BJP – Bhartiya Janta Party, many Indians, specially seen in elections result of Delhi, are looking to embrace something new.

In local assembly elections held at Delhi, India’s sprawling capital, the Aam Aadmi Party won 28 out of 70 seats. The leader of AAP – Mr. Arvind Kejriwal himself beat the Chief Minister of the city, a veteran of the ruling Congress party who had dismissed the AAP as ‘Not even on our radar’ when it was founded a year ago, by a massive 27,000 vote margin. Congress was literally wiped out of Delhi, reduced to eight seats.

Every news channel showing the tremendous emerge of AAP and Mr. Kejriwal’s name flashing all over the media and news. But where did it actually came from? The Aam Aadmi Party – So called Common Man Party. How it all started? And how did it became so big in such a small period of time, which decreased the size of huge ruler Congress & the opposition BJP, the parties in command since years. What happened? Why the sudden air of change was blowing over the political campus of India?

Let’s take a look from the eye of a real common man, like you and me. Suddenly, on the news channel and social media we all of us heard a uncommon name as Kishan Baburao ‘Anna’ Hazare, more commonly known as Anna Hazare, who was born in 1937 and is widely known as a social activist who led movements to promote rural development, increase government transparency and investigate and punish official corruption. In 1992 he was awarded the Padma Bhushan – The third highest civilian award by the Government of India, for his efforts in establishing Ralegan Siddhi, a village in Parner Taluka of Ahmednagar as a model for the others. Thereafter suddenly in 2011 we heard about Anna Hazare starting a indefinite hunger strike on 5th day of April to exert pressure on The Indian Government to enact a stringent anti-corruption law, The Lokpal Bill, 2011 as envisaged in the Jan Lokpal Bill, for the institution of an ombudsman with the power to deal with corruption in public areas. This fast let to nationwide protest and support. The fast ended on 9th April 2011, a day after the government accepted his demands. And then comes the entry of Mr. Arvind Kejriwal in support of Anna Hazare and for his role in drafting a proposed Jan Lokpal Bill. Prior to this he has worked as a former Indian Revenue Service officer and politician. He has worked for IRS as a Joint Commissioner in the Income Tax Department. He has also won a Ramon Magsaysay Award for emergent leadership in 2006 for his contribution to the enactment of the Right To Information Act and his efforts to empower the poorest citizens of India.

The origins of the AAP can be traced to a difference of opinion between Arvind Kejriwal and Anna Hazare, social activists who had both been involved in Team Anna, a strand of the anti-corruption movement for Jan Lokpal Bill that had gained momentum in India during 2011 and 2012. Hazare had wanted to keep the movement politically neutral but Kejriwal considered that direct involvement in politics was necessary because attempts to obtain progress regarding the Jan Lokpal Bill through talks with existing political parties had, in his opinion, achieved nothing. A survey conducted by the India Against Corruption organisation using social networking services had indicated that there was wide support for politicisation.

Hazare and Kejriwal agreed on 19 September 2012 that their differences regarding a role in politics were irreconcilable. Kejriwal had support from some well-known people involved in the anti-corruption movement, such as Prashant Bhushan and Shanti Bhushan, but was opposed by others such as Kiran Bedi and Santosh Hegde. On 2 October, Kejriwal announced that he was forming a political party and that he intended the formal launch to be 26 November, coinciding with the anniversary of India's adoption of its constitution in 1949.

The party name reflects the phrase Aam Aadmi, or "common man", whose interests Kejriwal proposed to represent. A party constitution was adopted on 24 November 2012, when a National Council comprising 320 people and a National Executive of 23 were also formed. Both the Council and the Executive were expected to have more members in due course, with the intention being that all districts and all classes of people would have a voice. Various committees were to be formed to draft proposals for adoption by the party in a process that was expected to take several months. Although one aim was to limit nepotism, there were complaints at this initial meeting that the selection of people invited to attend was itself an example of such practices. The party was formally launched in Delhi on 26 November and in March 2013 it was registered as a political party by the Election Commission of India.

And now after the results of Delhi Election AAP is not just a ordinary party but a party who has emerged suddenly and taken of the grounds from age old rulers BJP & Congress. The Natural reason for this is seen as planning of Mr. Kejriwal, but actual fact is that Indian Common man is so much disappointed by both the big name parties that they were looking for the options that could become a better rule and hence the success of AAP was sudden. But do you think that we would be able to get a good leader in a new emerging party, when we were so disappointed by the age old experienced leaders and best economist such as Honourable Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh?

Time to think, AAP, BJP, Congress, RJD and many such parties all over India and what are we getting? Babaji Ka Thullu? India needs a political renovation, let’s see if AAP can bring it or emerging of AAP can create renovation in BJP or Congress. Let’s See!

As of now, the picture of not taking support in making the government in Delhi just makes me think that AAP, BJP and Congress all are just playing with political field of India and the emotions of Voters of India. Horribly Disgusting! If they didn't had a backup plan to create a government, then why the hell were they contesting the elections???

Relationships - Confusing, Ain't It?

Not every relationship has a meaning, not every relationship has a cause, not every relationship has a happy ending and not every relationship starts with a beautiful beginning. In fact to the best of my knowledge there is no such thing as a perfect relationship. It’s how two people deal with their imperfections that makes you perfect.  Every relationship is uncommon and every relationship has a unique meaning in itself and only the person in that relationship actually understands the meaning of being there. That is because in every relationship the two persons are unique. There has never been a person exactly like you, God never creates a copy. Even two identical twins have different likes, different thoughts and different manners. So this tells us, we must never compare our relationship with any other relationships. People often do this mistake and often end up spoiling their own charm of a relationship.

We human by nature are so greedy that we can’t usually control our wants and need and that is the reason, nothing actually satisfies us. And until we are satisfied within ourselves we keep on searching a reason to be blamed on, usually those reason can be easily found in and around in your relationships, more often in relationships like Spouse, Living Partner or Lover. Finally there comes a time, when this human nature of ours starts believing on our own blames. Fact is that we are not satisfied, actually no one is and so we blame it on someone to start on and then finally we take those blame so seriously that we start believing it as a precision. The relationship doesn’t succeed until we have door of choice open, once we close that door of choice and start living and accepting the situation we are in, usually things do change, if not at least the view towards it becomes positive. Whenever ever, you are in a situation when you need to re-think about your relationship, close the doors of choice on your face. Think of consequences of each and every door and path getting from there and finally you will get way out to improve your current situation, your present relationship and most of the time it works. The two people in a relationship are the only two people in the world who could make the relationship work or fail. There is no other person who can play a key role in spoiling or improving it until you personally aren’t willing to do so.

Usually there are times, when good people keep on staying in a bad relationship as well. I had a friend, who almost cried daily for 8 years, she was badly unhappy with her relationship still refused to move out. Sometimes there are those consequences also when you have no other option but to leave and still at times people cannot just move on. Psychology says that how and why humans attach themselves another and form relationships may be that is the mysterious crazy glue that keeps us in a relationship. Some people are afraid of falling in love or relationship because of bad experiences, some people are afraid of trusting blindly in a relationship by hearing the cases of breach and betrayal, whereas some people are also afraid of moving out of relationship because of society issues, future issues and sometimes impact of it on their children. We actually don’t know which fear out of all this fears are true and we also don’t know the limit of staying in a relationship or limit of moving out. There are no so called rules and regulations for a relationship. As I mentioned earlier there are no identical humans and so there cannot be an identical level of compromises or tolerance. When a human attaches himself/herself to another human in a manner where we actually feel committed, he/she keeps on trying as much as possible to stay in that relationship. It is usually a traumatic condition and sometimes you lose everything in the process of keeping your relationship intact and sometimes chances are that you may discover the hidden treasure of your relationship.

According to me it’s worth taking a chance in your relationship as much as it is possible from your side. We cannot predict the future, we don’t know what our next relationship could hold for us or we even don’t know that we would ever again be able to attach ourselves in a manner with any other individual? Think again, give yourself a chance, give your relationship the attention and try to cultivate it by every possible means. Who knows that seed of love can bring on the plant of happiness for your future!

Finally, A true relationship is when someone accepts your past, supports your present and encourages your future, where you can be yourself and where you don’t have a burden to hide on, where-in you can fly like a free bird, have your own world, have your own wings yet behold the treasure of flying together.

Narendra Modi Vs. Rahul Gandhi

It is a war-of-rallies, Sunday - as India gets set for a Narendra Modi vs Rahul Gandhi show.

While the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is all ready with his armour of words and social media for the much anticipated Hunkar Rally in ally-turned-foe Nitish Kumar's Bihar, the Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will address a rally in Delhi's Mongolpuri area.

It is Modi's maiden stint at a rally in Patna, it is also the first time that both Modi and Rahul will have rallies on the same day.

Rahul Gandhi has shied from talking about Modi in his rallies but the BJP prime ministerial candidate has thrashed and battered the 'Shehzada' despitefully in his recent rallies, last in Udaipur yesterday, claiming a Rajasthan police officer, who wanted to contest elections, had given Rahul "information" on Pakistani spy agency ISI contacting Muslim youth victims of Muzaffarnagar riots.

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and other senior Congress leaders are expected to be present at Rahul's rally. Dikshit, in a recent interview had said "Rahul is learning. Let us not pre-judge him, start judging him if he is chosen prime minister when Congress comes to power."

But it is Modi's Rs.100 crore rally that is a high-level game with the BJP claiming to change political equations in Bihar. BJP is eyeing almost one crore first time voters in the state who could be decisive in seeing its prime minister nominee sail through in 2014.

In order to make Modi's 2013 visit to the state a grand success, a 15 member BJP's IT-cell has been working day and night behind the scene to mobilise support for the rally. Seven hard core IT-professionals have been deployed by the party's Bihar unit to formulate a strategy to make a maximum reach to the voters. 1.5 lakh people have affirmed their participation in the rally through social media, online and mobile registration.

From asking the President to reschedule his Bihar visit to not charging people to attend the rally, BJP has meticulously planned every move to ensure the making of a historic rally.

But actually, we as a public should consider which one of these big names as our future Prime Minister of India? Confused? Well don’t worry, actually everyone is confused on the point, apart from the diehard followers.  Let’s try a chart of comparison between both of them and see if any one of those leader are better than their competitor? Let us hope that leaders will not mind our comparison.

Similarities:
Both talk about dreams – of others and of their own.
Both talk about the aspirations of young India.
Both claim to have a vision of a better India.
And both despite the hype surrounding them make little sense.

That is probably where the similarities in the typical Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi speeches end. The differences are more pronounced.

Differences:
One is self-conscious to the point of being diffident
The other is overconfident to the point of being unbearable.

Rahul appears to be person burdened with a role for which he has had no adequate preparation.
Modi carries the airs of a man who can do no wrong.

One is aloof, the other desperate.

The former reflects the state of mind of a confused home-grown philosopher and the latter the cockiness of a man who believes who can get away with anything, including lies. To put it unsubtly, one comes across as a novice to the job and the other as a seasoned actor good at manipulating people.

Rahul Gandhi’s speech at Baran in Rajasthan on Tuesday was insipid and soulless, the same way it was in Jaipur a few days ago. In Jaipur, he had claimed “I am ready to forgo my own dreams to fulfill your dreams’’; in his speech yesterday, he spoke about how the poorest in India should have the biggest dream. “If we don’t let you dream, India can’t progress,” he said.

The dream theme is surely getting overdone.

The Congress vice-president appears to be running out of content to make his speeches fresh and lively or he is tiring already. His speech writers must exert themselves some more.

Not a natural orator like Modi, Rahul fails to build emotional connect with the audience. He could make this weakness up with details, specifics and anecdotes. In none of his public speeches, has he appeared to have enough depth to keep the audience engaged. Possibly, it comes from his lack of exposure to real responsibility or real understanding of the people he claims to identify with: the aam aadmi.

Election speeches are supposed to be a communication exercise.

For someone who has been in politics and among people for nine years, he communicates very little that’s worthwhile. At least he could have a couple of good speakers in his entourage. Modi’s case is different. He is a competent public speaker and like all competent public speakers he knows what works with the audience. He does not mind making exaggerated claims about his achievements and he is never embarrassed about letting slip a lie or two to make a point. By now, the country is aware that this man can carry the audience with the force of his eloquence. The substance in his speeches, however, still remains a grey area.

Impressive speeches are alright but a lot more clarity on issues is required from a man who aspires to be prime minister of the country.

Rahul obviously is more disappointing than Modi.

The feeling of disenchantment is aggravated by the fact that he shows no inclination to assume any responsibility unlike the latter. Ambition and hunger for power are not bad until they become an obsession. One man is at least trying to achieve something for himself and stick his neck out, while it is difficult to understand what the other is up to.

The speeches of both reflect the difference – Modi’s have a hint of desperation; Rahul’s a touch of aloofness.

As the whole country views on television and reads in every newspaper the battle between Mr. Narendra Modi and Mr. Rahul Gandhi, I am only worried that we have actually come to this. We don’t care anymore about thought, kindness, honesty, action, responsibility, courage, leadership. We have one person who refuses to answer any question on the blood on his hands as Chief Minister and another who is being projected as a mature philosopher when we actually need a dynamic leader.

Recently at one of his many public appearances, Mr. Modi was asked whether he would take moral responsibility for the 2002 riots, to which he replied that he had already answered questions about the riots numerous times. But the same man has over the last few months been willing to answer time and again the same questions about his developed Gujarat.

Every time Mr. Modi’s name is discussed, the riots are a part of the narrative and the criticism is that we are trapping him within that event. But why not? Any person with some human essence must ask those questions time and again. Whether or not he was party to the violence is up to the courts to decide, but he was the Chief Minister of the State and has refused to say that he should have acted differently. How can we ever ignore that? In fact we should not. In my travels I have always met so many middle class Indians who think Mr. Modi is the Bill Gates of Indian politics. “Go to Gujarat and see the transformation, development, bridges, roads, IT companies, the speed of decision making and you will realise why he is the right person for us.” When I hear these statements I am filled with sadness that we as a society can easily erase people from our minds. We say that the courts have not convicted Mr. Modi, but we readily accuse someone else as being a criminal even when no verdict has been proclaimed. Essentially, economic growth seems to erase all sense of human decency.

I am also told that “after all the Muslims have also voted for him.” Honestly, I don’t care if all the Muslims in the world voted for him. I care that people died, not Muslims, Christians or Hindus. I am not aware of the voting patterns of Gujarat, that’s for psephologists. But I am aware that reasons for a minority community to behave in a certain way are usually driven by the behavior of the dominant group. The “dominants” manipulate and coerce the weak to act in certain ways. The positive economic changes seen in the lives of the majority also influences the behavioral pattern of the minority. I am not saying these are the reasons but let us just keep this in mind.

We as human beings are built to empathize and feel for others. Let us not lose sight of this basic quality of humanity in the dream of economic comfort or seeming political “stability.” I would rather be poor than inhuman! Narendra Modi, I will not stop asking you this: “Will you take moral responsibility for the riots?” You owe this country an answer.

While this is one end of the political narrative, there exists another in the form of a smart, genuine young man who needs to know what he is doing. Someone has to tell Rahul Gandhi that he is not a philosopher and India doesn't need one in him! We need a strong individual who is honest and willing to show courage. He need not constantly mention the problems of the political and bureaucratic class. We are only too aware of its failings, and are constantly made aware of them. We do not need a “magic wand” but someone with a will to change things and has not until date shown any will. Rahul Gandhi has floated thoughts on “what Indian society is suffering from.”  But so, what next? There seems to be a state of unconsciousness hovering over him, a cloud of inertia and intellectual lethargy. The country can ill afford a slumber of ideas, courage and determination in a man who is meant to be waking the nation up. What one misses in Rahul Gandhi is not earnestness of objective, not sincerity, but a crucial breaking of the trust barrier, a totally convincing breakthrough in winning the nation’s trust. He can fight all his political battles with Narendra Modi or anyone else but first he must be willing to fight the battle of his life for this country. Unless the nation sees him do that how can it entrust its future to him? His advisers don’t seem to see that the absence of a trust breakthrough in Rahul Gandhi is what Narendra Modi is cashing in on and substituting with his own brand of “I can do it” in surplus. India needs a good human being at its helm but also a proactive person with serious, practical ideas of how to change this nation. We have in him an exhaustively long prologue; what we need now is the main action.

Watching this presidential style battle being played out in the media on an everyday basis has only further increased my disappointment in us as a society. Urban India is intoxicated by these two people, and the so-called “real India” is being manipulated by the same individuals. The end result is that India seems to have reached a political dead end. What other options do we have? We can not only look for other options but can actually force a change from these two. It is up to us to demand decency and human empathy, responsibility-owning from Narendra Modi and courage and determination from Rahul Gandhi. If neither have it in them then they don’t deserve our votes, and nor do their parties, bereft as they are of ideas for change.

Unfortunately looking at the situation of Indian Politics, expecting a bright India would be stupidity. But in consideration with the no choice situation apart from Narendra Modi or Rahul Gandhi, we must tell them what could make them preferred Prime Minister.

Few things to do for Mr. Narendra Modi, in order for him to be a preferred PM of India:
  • He should tender a sincere and unconditional apology to Muslims for the post-Godhra riots
  • He should spell out a precise vision for India’s future—economic, political and social.
  • He should be publically acceptable to at least 10 non-BJP parties that formed the NDA coalition.
  • He should demonstrate his ability to build consensus—both within and outside his party.
  • He should quit as Chief Minister of Gujarat after 6 to 12 months and travel across India, connecting with people.
  • He should develop a better understanding of geopolitics and international relations than he has demonstrated so far.

Few things to do for Mr. Rahul Gandhi, in order for him to be a preferred PM of India:
  • He should ends his splendid isolation and interacts more openly and more often with the public.
  • He must try to build and shares a concrete vision for India.
  • His stand on key economic issues should be made clearer.
  • He must demonstrate leadership skills within his party, rather than mentioning the phrases like 'My Mom, My Dad, My Grand Mom'.
  • He must speak his view rather than speaking just a overdone speech written by those script writers.
  • He becomes more specific on points and topic that he is actually talking about.

Until and unless those things mentioned above are done by any one of them, in my view none of them is the appropriate or preferred Prime Minister for better future of India.

An Unknown Treasure Hunt – Dreamed By Unknown Priest

In September 2013, a local priest named Shobhan Sarkar, who is also revered as a Mahant, claimed that a 19th-century king of Daundia Khera, Ram Baksh Singh, had come to him in a dream and told him that 1000 tons of gold treasure was buried under his palace. In an interview to Wall Street Journal, Sarkar said that the ghost of Singh is worried about the Indian economy and he wants the treasure to be used for the economic growth of the country. Sarkar called the dream "a divine intervention" but refused to tell how, when and why only he learned about the buried treasure. The British had hanged Singh during the 1857 rebellion and destroyed his palace. Sarkar wrote to the Prime Minister, President and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) about his dream but his letters went ignored. Some sources say that Sarkar then approached Charan Das Mahant, a Minister of State for agriculture and the food processing industry in the Government of India, while other sources say that the minister heard of the story from a pandit in Kanpur who regularly kept in touch with him.

Now, who actually was Raja Rao Ram Baksh Singh, sources say that he was a Hindu zamindar of Dundiakhera in Unnao district in erstwhile Oudh province of British India. He was one of the leaders of Revolt of 1857 and close associate of Nana Sahib. He was hanged by British on 28 December 1857 for taking part in revolt and being guilty of killing of British soldiers. In 1992, Government of India had built a memorial at the place, where he was hanged, to honour his martyrdom.

And then coming on to the so called pandit named Shobhan Sarkar. Actually Shobhan is a village in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh where the sadhu has his ashram. He is called Sarkar by his followers. But no one knows his real name. The name of Shobhan Sarkar ashram’s saint is mentioned as Bhaskaranand Dev.

Shobhan Sarkar's followers claim that he is not publicity hungry and does not come before the media. He does not like to be photographed and has asked his followers not to worship him. Interestingly, his guru was also called Sarkar. Shobhan Sarkar has asked his followers to worship his master like god. Shobhan Sarkar is a disciple of Swami Raghunandan Das who 90 years ago laid the founded Shivli Ashram near Kanpur. But when CM of Gujarat Mr. Narendra Modi exclaimed on the matter, news reports say; Sadhu Shobhan Sarkar has slammed Modi for saying that the Delhi government has started excavation after someone claimed that there is buried gold lowering the country's image globally. In the letter Sarkar said, "I want to tell you humbly that in a hurry to hit out at the Central government and Sonia Gandhi, you have disrespected a saint. The dream of Sri Swami Shobhan Sarkar is to make India the world's most powerful economic force. I had earlier sent a letter to the Central government, the state government and district administration asking them for a GSI investigation of an area in Dhondia village and requested them to caary out an excavation based on the GSI report. I request an influential leader like you (Modi) not to waste time on such talk."

This whole incident made me wonder with few of the questions, that we all must ponder over:
  • If the Gold was actually buried under the palace of Raja Rao Ram Baksh Singh, then why did he not come in the dream of any one since more than 100 years? Was he not worried for the Indian economy during all this years? Or was Indian economy never faced crisis during those years?
  • If the claim of Gold is so true and if at all Gold is found from the mentioned area, will it actually affect the Indian Economy and will it be used for a purpose it is meant to be?
  • What if the mentioned treasure is not actually found after digging the whole place? Who would be punishable for the act, the saint who dreamed about it or ASI who believed in such a story with minimal proofs?
  • And if there were adequate proof present of the story, with the maps and all, then why was the government not digging for treasure from all this years? Were they waiting for critical elections to come?

Questions are endless and answers are just hopes as of now. Let us see what this treasure hunts brings on the future of India, A Better Economy or Laugh From The World.
